Linguistics is a vital field that explores the structure, functions, and use of language in human communication. Meanwhile, artificial intelligence (AI) represents a major technological advancement aimed at replicating human cognitive and linguistic abilities. With the rapid growth of intelligent systems, there is an increasing need to integrate linguistic knowledge with computational models and algorithms to create systems capable of understanding and processing natural language in a human-like manner. This integration extends beyond practical applications—such as machine translation, intelligent assistants, and text analysis—to reshaping theoretical perspectives on language, communication, and meaning. Linguistics provides AI with frameworks for understanding syntax, semantics, and pragmatics, while AI offers linguists computational tools and empirical methods that open new avenues for research and innovation. Studying the intersection of linguistics and AI is important for advancing knowledge and fostering technological innovation, with positive implications for education, media, and advanced digital industries. This research examines the synergy between linguistic theories, including generative grammar, semantics, and pragmatics, and AI strategies such as machine learning and natural language processing.
